Our Operators responded to a watermain break on Wood Lane today (May 23).

Although they have been able to connect temporary water to the affected homes, due to the nature of the break, a BOIL WATER NOTICE has been issued for the following addresses on Wood Lane:

• 4739-4713 Wood Lane

The Boil Water Notice will remain in effect for these properties until lab results are returned, which is expected to take several days.

• Water intended for drinking, washing fruits or vegetables, making juice or ice, or brushing teeth should be boiled at a rolling boil for at least ONE MINUTE.

The Boil Water Notice is only in effect for 4739-4713 Wood Lane. The remainder of water system users in Windermere are not impacted. Our Operators have gone door to door to notify affected residents.

As part of the installation of temporary water lines to the properties, ball valves have been installed. For homeowners on Wood Lane who are not currently at their residence, the valves have been left in the OFF position. If residents return, see the black temporary line connected to their hose bib and have no water service, they can turn the valve to the ON position or contact 250-342-5712 if they require assistance.

Once the Boil Water Notice has been lifted, we will advise residents via this email group and on the Water Quality Notices page on our website.
