The RDEK is replacing the watermain on Wood Lane Road in Windermere this spring.
The $1.37 million project will also include additional components such as, curb stops, isolation valves, hydrants, and other related infrastructure.
The construction contract has been awarded to TwinCon Enterprises and construction will take place on the designated right-of-way (ROW). Temporary access may be required to areas adjacent to the construction zone.
Although landscaping and placement of personal property within a ROW is not permitted at any time, we do know there are instances where this has happened. Any landscaping or personal property that extends into the ROW or within any Statutory Right-of-Way (SROW) will need to be removed prior to construction. Depending on the curb stop, hydrant, and valve locations, this may impact hardscaped raised beds, some driveways and may include tree/vegetation removal. The RDEK will be reaching out directly to affected property owners; however, it is important to know in advance that personal property or landscaping that was located in the ROW will not be replaced post-construction.
Temporary Water Outages During Construction
It is expected that there will be temporary water outages during construction, and depending on the length of outage, temporary water will be supplied. Please follow any posted signs or instructions from our construction crews for your safety.
We are committed to minimizing inconveniences and ensuring safety throughout the project and will provide construction updates to help keep residents informed along the way.
