Radium Transfer Station Officially Open

2 July 2025

The new Radium Transfer Station is officially open.

The Transfer Station, which is located off of Forsters Landing Road in the Village of Radium Hot Springs, swung its gates open this morning and will offer expanded services for disposal of household garbage and recycling for residents of Area G and the Village. “With the new Recycle BC recycling area, and locations for the collection of used oil, electronics, large household appliances, propane tanks, batteries, green waste, metals, wood waste, and household hazardous waste, the new Transfer Station is truly a one-stop, convenient location for residents to dispose of garbage and recycle or divert a wide range of other products,” explains RDEK General Manager of Operations, Grayson Mauch.

The Transfer Station is open from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM seven days a week, except for Christmas Day, New Years Day, Remembrance Day, Thanksgiving Day and Family Day.

Mauch says RDEK staff will be on hand throughout the coming weeks to answer any questions and help residents navigate the new site. “We recognize this is a change and our team will be available to help provide information and support people as they get accustomed to the new site and its use.”
