The RDEK's newest transfer station is slated to open on July 2, 2025.

In addition to the collection of household waste, the Transfer Station will provide a new, convenient option for Radium and Area G residents to dispose of their waste and access a wide range of new recycling opportunities, including:

  • a full Recycle BC Depot;
  • Household Hazardous Waste Depot
  • used oil recycling;
  • electronics recycling;
  • areas for the recycling of white goods,
  • propane tanks and batteries; and,
  • dedicated bins for the drop off of green waste, metals, and wood waste.

The RDEK will be kicking off an education campaign starting the week of June 11th - so check back for more details! In addition, we will have staff on site for the opening to assist residents and at various events in Radium and the surrounding area throughout the summer.
