Timber Ridge PHASE 1 - Water Quality Advisory in Effect

27 April 2023

Water service has been restored to the affected homes in Timber Ridge Phase 1 and the temporary water connections for all those affected by the watermain replacement project are complete as well.

As there was a new connection into the system, the RDEK has issued a precautionary Water Quality Advisory for users on Timber Ridge Phase 1 and is recommending that children, the elderly, people with weakened immune systems, and anyone seeking additional protection drink boiled water or a safe alternative until further notice. For these at-risk populations, water intended for drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice, or brushing teeth should be boiled for one minute.

The Water Quality Advisory will remain in place for several days while we work to complete some final tie-ins on the system. We will advise via this email group and on our website when the Water Quality Advisory has been lifted.

If you have questions about the Timber Ridge Watermain Replacement, please reach out to the project lead Tom Smith at tsmith@rdek.bc.ca or 1-250-342-0063.
