The Volunteer of the Year nomination period has now closed. The 2021 Electoral Area Volunteers of the Year will be announced in the fall of 2021.


Every year, the RDEK honours an Electoral Area Volunteer of the Year in each of our six Electoral Areas. Nominations are being accepted now for the 2021 Volunteers of the Year.

Nominees must be a resident of an Electoral Area (rural areas outside of incorporated municipalities) and make voluntary contributions to the spirit, culture or people of the community.

The nomination period for the 2021 Volunteer of the Year has now closed.

The 2021 Volunteers of the Year will be announced in the Fall.
