2026-2027 ReDi Grants

Resident Directed Grants (ReDi Grants) support projects that benefit the broad community and public good through community-based decision-making and ensuring an opportunity for resident input on projects.

This program is funded by the Trust and delivered in partnership with local governments and First Nations.

Proposals have now been submitted for the 2026/2027 program year and community meetings will be held throughout the region in the RDEK's electoral areas and municipalities to proponents can speak to their proposals. Community members are encouraged to attend these meetings to provide feedback in projects they feel are most important to the area they live in.

    Phase 1 - Application Process

    • Applications open - January 5, 2026
    • Application deadline - February 9, 2026
    • Applications review process - February - March 2026
  • Timeline item 2 - active

    Phase 2 - Consultation and Engagement

    • Applicants notified of community meetings - March 2026
    • Public community meetings - April – May 2026
    • Funding recommendations received from municipalities and electoral areas - May 2026
  • Timeline item 3 - active

    Phase 3 - Approval and reporting

    • Funding recommendations to RDEK Board - June 12, 2026
    • Applicants notified of approved proposals - June 15, 2026
    • Payments released as per agreements
    • Deadline for project completion and project financial report to be submitted - June 30, 2027
