Resident Directed Grants, formerly known as the Community Initiatives and Affected Areas programs, support projects that benefit the broad community and public good through community-based decision-making and ensuring an opportunity for resident input on projects.
This program is funded by the Trust and delivered in partnership with local governments and First Nations.
Proposals have now been submitted for the 2023/2024 program year and community meetings have been held throughout the region in the RDEK's electoral areas and municipalities so proponents could speak to their proposals.
To view a summary of the proposals by Electoral Area or municipality, see the "Summary of Proposals by Community" in the documents section.
The next step in the process will take place in June as funding recommendations will be made to the RDEK Board of Directors for consideration at its June Board Meeting.
