There are several key Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) being issued over the coming weeks for some key components for the receiving facilities, including:

• The Micro Hydro (Solar PV) - which will provide solar power on the receiving site.
• The Grinder / Mixer - which grinds and then blends the compostable organics

The RFQs will close mid-September.

The Central Subregion Receiving Facility will be the first facility to come on line, and will be the focus of the contractor's efforts over the next month. Two key priorities are to complete the receiving pad and processing line headwall.

At the Columbia Valley Receiving Facility in Invermere, the electrical supply design is in process and fending design and install is also being worked on.

At the Elk Valley Receiving Facility, the pond liner hs been completed and paving, which was delayed due to rain, is expected to begin soon. The Electrical Room has been palced on site and the electrical supply design is in process.
