December 14, 2023 Update

14 December 2023

The mild late fall weather we have been experiencing has allowed continued progress on all three of our receiving / processing facilities. Here is the latest update:

Central Site Progress

  • Micro Hydro Solar PV Project is substantially complete. System testing is all that is required for final completion of this piece to be declared
  • Shouldering of Asphalt pad, generator storage pad has been completed
  • Blower units with motors received in Cranbrook and have been delivered to site
  • Compost process line wireless temperature probes in transit

Columbia Valley Site Progress

  • BC Hydro electrical supply design has been completed and power installation is anticipated in the next 6 weeks.
  • Grinder/Mixer anticipated delivery date is late January or early February
  • As built drawing cost estimate in process

Elk Valley Site Progress

  • BC Hydro electrical supply design is complete and the District of Sparwood continues to work on their Statutory Right of Way documents for the placement of a guy in the MOTI right of way
  • Asphalt pad shouldering is in process
  • The delivery of concrete lock blocks for headwalls is in process
  • Concrete receiving pad excavation, preparation, placement and finishing planned for next week
  • Grinder/Mixer anticipated delivery date is late January or early February

Planned Work for Next Progress Period

  • Elk Valley site concrete receiving pad, distribution wiring, lock block headwall placement, shouldering and fence repair
  • BC Hydro power feed to Columbia Valley site
  • Receipt of blower units for installation for both Elk Valley and Columbia Valley sites
  • Receipt of temperature probes for all three sites
